Born in Bogota Colombia, Santiago Segura was surrounded by arts for as long as he can remember. His mother is an accomplished painter and sculptor, and his father is an architect with a passion for design. With the encouragement of his family,
Santiago picked up the guitar for the first time at the age of 7. After teaching himself to play and finding his own style, he began writing his own music as a teenager. It wasn't long before the industry noticed him. A few months into studying at university in Miami, he was signed to Basswalk Records. Often compared to the likes of Juanes and Alejandro Sanz, Santiago strums infectious grooves. His beats are heavily influenced by African rhythms and his heartfelt lyrics most frequently inspired by Bob Marley, his main musical inspiration.
