Formed in January of 2010, Space Between Words is a soulful southern rock band that carries an air of alternative noise with an edgy 70's garage bite. A unique hybrid sound of noise rock and southern funk, which is described by The Miami New Times as, "If Weezer's Pinkerton and The Pixes' Doolittle made passionate love on a hot night in a dingy motel with a broken air-conditioner, that would be Space Between Words."

They banded together to inspire creativity, challenge each other and the status quo, and generate responsiveness on important political and social issues. The band's statements run clear throughout its music: calling for self-awareness, education and liberation. They are artistically driven with an insatiable enthusiasm to spread its message, which comes across in full-effect with every fervent performance.

Their debut album "And We All Follow the Sun" was released in October 2010. It went on to be chosen as "One of Miami's Best Albums of 2010" by both the Miami New Times and The Miami Herald. Shortly after the release of their album, Space Between Words signed with SESAC, and with the PRO's guidance have taken the band into new heights. They have been featured in many state and national press, blogs and radio programs. Gaining attention for their exciting live performances, creative music videos and continued accomplishments by outlets like NPR, The Village Voice, Jolt Radio, Miami Herald, The Miami New Times, and The Broward Palm Beach New Times.

Space Between Words released two music videos for their debut album: "Overcomplicated Mind" and "Red and Yellow". They are currently working on three more videos for "Crazy As A Fox", "Things Children Do" and "Threshold". In March they were one of only six Florida bands chosen to perform at the SXSW Music Festival. They toured their way up along the Gulf Coast and then played in three separate showcases during SXSW. By June, the band completed two separate West Coast tours. First a five day stint in LA in April and then a three week tour in the later half of May from Las Vegas to LA, Santa Monica and Oakland. SBW will spend the 2011 summer touring Florida, playing shows and doing several radio interviews in promotion for their debut album and music videos. The band plans on starting the recording process of their second full length album in October.
